Your First Visit to Our Aurora Practice

Make Yourself at Home

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

The purpose of your consultation with the doctor is to discuss your health goals and see if our advanced treatment protocols are likely to help you. If it looks promising, a thorough examination will help identify the cause of your problem.

Chiropractic Education

On your first visit, you will be asked to provide us with information about you and your health concerns. Rest assured your information will be kept confidential and private. In order to process your health insurance, you will need your health insurance card and driver's license with you. Once this information is collected, you will be escorted back to a consultation room. Dr. Truhlar will then conduct a thorough consultation and examination and determine if his advanced treatment protocols may be right for you. Further testing may be recommended to rule out other possible causes of your health problems.

If indicated, further testing will be ordered after the initial visit has been completed. Once the consultation/examination is completed, you will be escorted to the front desk to schedule your second visit report/consultation, when Dr. Truhlar will discuss his findings and present you with his recommendations. This first visit typically takes about 45-60 minutes depending upon the severity of your health problem.

Our patients appreciate that we explain everything in advance!

Dr. Truhlar Asks some important questions of interest to Aurora residents - Chiropractor Aurora Dr. Truhlar Asks...

Will chiropractic adjustments make my spine too loose?
No. Only the spinal joints that are fixated and "locked up" receive attention. The occasional spinal joint that moves too much is passed over so weakened muscles and ligaments can strengthen and heal.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
